I Think He Likes Me

I'm writing a press-release style description of a band whose lead singer I've loved for years. It's hard to break back to surface descriptions of someone's voice you've stood and listened to when they didn't know you were there. It's hard to talk about lyrical complexity when, in person, you got carried away just watching them be absorbed so totally in a world they made. It's hard to write about a song that appeared after they said "I'm going to write a song for you", and then disappeared.

It's hard to write a press release and not say, "Buy this. She sung me 'Nottingham' from Disney's Robin Hood when I was feeling down, even though she thought it sounded like crap."

I'll do it though. Just because it's hard is no reason not to.

I did like the simpler version of "I Think He Likes Me" better, though. That's just me.
