Slumlording it with a D20

You know, on some level, I think I've always wanted to live in one of those crowded Chinese slums. The mazes of little apartments, loud and possibly-insane housewives, and random old men who study botany.

It's like the real final frontier -- the real melting pot. Somewhere in the random sea of humanity, my optimism tells me, things combined just right.

It really has nothing to do with the Chinese particularly, other than their population density and the fact that their apartment buildings in the low-rent areas seem to be built like mazes.

Always fascinated by mazes -- always something I might not have found. It's too bad no one builds them and fills them with monsters and treasure anymore, isn't it?
